The Challenge

Mercado Medic needed a stable IT solution for an office hotel where several tenants share the same physical environment without sharing access. Each room needed wired networking and the solution had to be easy to administer when tenants move in, change rooms or need different capacity.

The assignment was to build a controlled network environment with clear segmentation, safe boundaries between tenants and an operations model that can be maintained over time.

The Solution

Webbfabriken installed network cabling to the rooms and built a central rack with UniFi switches, UniFi Dream Machine and controller functions for administration. The network was structured with VLAN technology so each tenant can be placed in the right segment with the right access and the right speed.

The solution makes it possible to manage every network outlet separately. We can connect outlets to the right VLAN, limit access, adjust capacity and handle changes without rebuilding the entire environment.

Webbfabriken is also responsible for operations and maintenance of the solution. That includes ongoing checks, updates and technical support so the network stays stable as the business changes.
